Another year older!

So yesterday was my 29th birthday!  Hooray for me!  

I have decided that after 21, birthdays just aren't as fun as they used to be!  Not for lack of fun things happening, or the fact that 29 just sounds so old, but because life just goes on like normal.  When you are little your whole life revolves around your birthday (at least that is how it was to me), and when it finally comes the world seems to stop and celebrate with you for the whole day! I am probably not making sense to anyone but myself, so I will stop wallowing in my self pitty for turning another year older. 

Anyways, my day was filled with all the normal things like getting kids up and ready for school, dropping off and picking up, but there were a few things out of the ordinary that were pretty fun for me!  

I had a Dr.'s appointment in the morning. (not categorized as one of the fun things, but out of the ordinary just the same).  When I got home from the Dr. there was a beautiful bouquet of flowers waiting for me from my Father In Law.  Always so fun to get flowers (Thank you Ted)!!!  After dropping off Ev as school, I got to go to lunch with my sister in law Tracie, then we went and got our nails done!  So fun to have girl time to get caught up on all the happenings and gossip in each others lives! Later on in the day we drove out to the house we are in the process of buying and got to spend some time there, give Trac the tour, and even had the pleasure of meeting a couple of our neighbors.  Later in the evening Trev and I were able to escape for a nice, much needed, kid free, somewhat romantic dinner.  Ahhhhh... it was a great day!
