Burk Family Campout

This weekend was the annual Burk Family Reunion (Trev's Mom's family).  In years past, we have gone to Lake Powell on a houseboat, but this year we got to go camping instead!  I must admit that I wasn't super excited about the idea of camping in the rain and mud, but what was I supposed to do when my husband and children were all REALLY looking forward to going!? It is always fun once we get there, so I knew it would be well worth it.  The majority of our camping stuff (along with most of our winter/warm clothing) is all buried in storage, but we were able to borrow the major camping necessities from some of my family.  I was also able to dig up some warm(er) clothes for everyone.  The place we were planning on going was expected to have snow, so the location changed to a place near Prescott.  I won't bore you with the details of our journey, but when we arrived at our destination it was indeed wet and muddy!

Thank heavens for Uncle Robert!!!  Bev's Brother Robert is not only the one that planned the campout, but he always makes sure that everyone is comfortable and happy.  He set up what we refer to as "the Big Tops." Big white tarp/canopies for everyone to put their tents under as to not be in the rain, and more to just sit and eat under.  Then he brought up some port 'o potties, a hand washing station, and a shower unit.  Who could ask for anything more when camping!?  Throw in some Quads, horses, badminton, horse shoes, some dirt for digging, and a crazy little tractor pulled train and you have a recipe for a GOOD TIME!!!  And we did have a GOOD TIME!

Fun!!! I wish we did fun things like that with either of our families, but we're all boring!
And good job managing to get a pic of yourself on here! I know it's difficult since the women do most of the picture taking.
Well, I'm glad you all enjoyed yourselves! And I hope all goes well in UT.
Let me know when you're back!
