Christmas 2008

CHRISTMAS EVE

This year on Christmas Eve, we had most of Trev's family over for a while.  Had dinner, played The Minister's Cat (thanks for that one Heather), played a candy exchange game, and had a good little visit!  It is somewhat of a tradition that Trev's Sisters and Mom stay the night at our house on Christmas Eve, which makes it a lot more fun for us.  This year Bev wasn't able to stay, but was able to enjoy the evening with us for a while.

As for lots of families I know, it is also a tradition in our family that the kids all get to open one gift on Christmas Eve.  This year Mom chose which ones they would open.

Ev was happy with his Club Penguin figurines!
He wasn't quite sure at first, but Parker did end up liking these Star Wars info. cards!
And this little guy would have been happy with anything, but was overjoyed with his Indiana Jones Potato Head!
And of course they had some time to play with them before it was off to bed so Santa could come!
Aunt Tracie, Gma Bev, and Aunt Cami watching from the sidelines.
SO WHAT DID SANTA BRING YOU ASK!?!

Parker got a bike, some Nightmare Before Christmas figures, and a Mini TriBot.
Fletcher got a bike, and a giant rescue helicopter.
Evrett got a bike, and an awesome Batmobile that launches Batman out on a motorcycle.
Josslyn got a cute little rocking pony that neighs and moves it's head and tail.

CHRISTMAS MORNING
(Here are a few highlights of the day!)

Here is what it looked like before the Christmas madness began!
Joss wasn't quite sure how she felt about the pony!
The best reaction we had from Ev, was when he opened this sock monkey!
Fletcher was most excited about the tool box he had carried around Toys R Us for 45 minutes, weeks before!
Joss LOVES her baby!
Parker was definitely most excited about the Nintendo DS he wanted so badly!
One of my personal favorites was the 3 foot Batman we got for Ev!  He wasn't quite sure what to think about it!
Joss was so cute pushing her baby around in the new stroller she got!
We got a few new family games, so this was exciting for me to see them all playing and having fun with one of them!
Fletcher loves his new bike!  I can't believe how well he does on it.
Ev loves his bike too, but still gets a little nervous when it tips from one training wheel to the other.  He will be riding it like a pro in a day or two.
Parker is still not quite sure about his bike, but I know that once he gets the hang of it, he will be on it all the time... riding around with all the neighborhood kids!
And of course one of the highlights of the day was going to see my Mom at the rehab center, and taking her the gifts we got her.  We went at the same time as my brother and his family, so it felt a little more Christmasy for her.  It was nice!
(Unfortunately, Trev started feeling sick about an hour before we went, so he didn't make it.  But lucky for me, that meant I didn't have to wake my two sleeping babies!)

I HOPE EVERYONE HAD A WONDERFUL AND MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Now on to the New Year...

well it looks like a blast - love and savor every moment of little kid Christmases... the girls are 13 and 17 and... it's still fun, but I have had to face the sad reality that there will never be little kids in my house and christmas again. until I am a grandma. and then, I won't be the momma. I am envious of you beyond belief!!! I miss those little kid christmases!

Maybe we can get together sometime, I am home... I know you're busy, but... maybe? well let me know sometime mesamomx4@cox.net
