My Mom has been dealing with some health issues over the past year or so. Just seems to be one thing after another. Most recently she has been dealing with an infection in her foot/leg. She is diabetic and has developed something called Charcot Foot, which is where the bones in the foot just start to separate and disintegrate (I think!). Anyways not to go into too many yucky details, it has been giving her some problems and has just gotten worse over the past few months. She went into the hospital 2 weeks ago, and this week her Dr.'s decided to move her into a Rehab Facility where she can be helped by nurses and Dr.'s to get her foot all healed up. She doesn't love it there, but I am glad that she has people to help her! Not only are there people to help her, but they also have activities going on daily so she gets in some interaction with the fellow patients... which is something she can definitely use. (I know she gets lonely being home alone.)
