When is the right time?

Potty Training (A Girl!)

Joss is only going to be 16 months old this month.  However, in about 3 months, we will have another baby to diaper up!  I have done it before where I have had to buy diapers for more than one kid at a time... but don't really want to do it again.  I still think Joss is really young to start potty training, but I really have no idea.  I have heard that girls are easier to potty train, and Joss amazes me everyday at the things she catches on too... so maybe she could do it.  How do you know?

For those of you with potty trained girls... when is a good time/age to start potty training?  Any suggestions or comments are welcome!

Raegan showed interest in the potty at 18 months, so we bought the training stuff and started the process.
Then, she started refusing to try anymore, and as my pregnancy with Sophie progressed it became increasingly harder for me to want to fight her on it, so we waited until she decided to show interest again (all the while still asking her about it and having random potty usages) which ended up being just after she turned 2.
We bought diapers for she and Sophie only twice, and then decided she needed to be pushed harder into potty training because spending close to $70 on diapers at one time was ridiculous!!!!
I say if you feel ready for it, try it out on her and see. The worst that will happen is you'll find out she's not ready yet, but you never know.
Clarice's girls were both potty trained at 18 months!!
