Our day trip to Springerville

Treven had some business to take care of in Springerville today, so I went along for the ride.  We left last night, and to our surprise we got in a snow storm on our way up there.  It wasn't bad enough that we couldn't drive, but it was a little freaky for people that weren't expecting it and aren't used to driving in the snow!  (Probably would have been smart to check the weather forecast before we left!)

We stayed at Treven's Uncle's cabin in Alpine for the night... and this is what we found when we got up this morning!

Bev's car under a pile of snow!

Me FREEZING my booty off!

Everything looked so pretty all covered in white!

As we headed into Springerville, we decided to pull over to the side of the road to take a photo of something, and as we stopped... we didn't stop.  The car totally slid off the road into a snowbank.  We tried and tried to get out, but we were stuck good!  We had about an hour before we had to be in Springerville and I was positive we weren't gonna make it.  I just kept thinking about who we could call to come and pull us out.  After about 20 or 30 minutes of trying to pull forward and backwards, and a miserable attempt at Treven trying to push the car out... I had the brilliant idea to drive down the shoulder a bit where the snow wasn't so deep next to the road, and drove right back onto the road!  HALELUJAH!!!  (I totally have no idea how to spell that!) Luckily we weren't too far outside of Springerville, and made it with plenty of time to spare!  After the whole ordeal I wished we had taken pictures of the stuck car, and Treven pushing to post on here, but the story will have to do!

Here is a photo we took later in the day on our way home!  (We were a little smarter this time, and pulled off into a paved pullout area!)

It was a fun little day trip, and we had a great time talking and enjoying each others company!

Thanks to Gma Bev, Cami, and Tracie for helping us with the kids!
